Coilback - Coilback
Heavy metal is the order of the day from Dallas’s Coilback. The
self-titled CD starts off with a cool heavy riff on “Take It From Me,”
and it just gets catchier and riffier (if that’s a word!) with “Hate
Me.” The lineup for this talented trio is Lew Morris (guitar/vocals),
Steve Chapman (bass) and Steven Green (drums). This is the kind of
music you don’t hear on the radio but wish you did, with a Dio meets
Accept type vibe on “Your Misery.” Coilback is bringing old school
influenced metal to the table, and it’s refreshing to hear. “Won’t
Follow” has some interesting drum sequences on the intro, and then
turns into a full–on rocker. You need to hear this CD and to see this
