This band hails from Dallas, Texas and is a three
piece. They started out as Liquor Goat in 2000 and eventually became
Coilback. I'm not [sure] exactly what you'd call these boys.
Heavy metal goth with a black metal look I guess. I can already tell
that this band has a very heavy Rob Zombie/White Zombie influence.
That comes through loud and clear in the first track already and the
sampling they do. "Unbroken" sounds almost like "Thunderkiss '65" with
different lyrics. The lyrics and melodies are very catchy and the
vocals remind me of a mixture of Rob Zombie and James Hetfield. I
really like the track "Let Me Go". The band manages to present old
school metal with a fresh new sound. Very solid drumming and heavy
riffs and lyrics you find yourself singing along to. I love "Time For
Pain". It has those James Hetfield vocals. I have to say that
"Unbroken", "Let Me Go", and "Time For Pain" are my top favorites from
this album. I highly recommend checking out this band.
